OBITUARY - Greensburg Daily News, Indiana, Wednesday, May 16, 1990:

Lloyd (Jack) Emsweller, 73, Rushville, Ind., died the afternoon of Tuesday, May 15, 1990 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was retired from Pioneer Hybrid Inc., Rushville, where he was a quality controller and was also a former Richland Township farmer in the Clarksburg community.

Born in Franklin County Feb. 2, 1917, he was the son of Elmer and Goldie Barber Emsweller. He was married Nov. 10, 1944 to Marjorie A. Bishop Emsweller, who survives.

He was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church, past president and member of the New Salem Lion's Club and past president of the New Salem Alumni Association.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Gary Emsweller, Danville, Ind.; Kevin Emsweller, Royal Center, Ind.; three daughters, Rita Kay Emsweller, at home; Mrs. Willard Brenda Peters, Seymour, Ind.; Mrs. Michael Elizabeth Mallaney, West Des Moines, Iowa; two brothers, Raymond Emsweller, Milroy, Ind.; Quentin Emsweller, Rushville; two sisters, Norma Miller, Englewood, Fla.; Mrs. Donald Mary Beyler, Middletown, Ind., and 10 grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rushville, with the Rev. William Cleary officiating.

Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Rushville.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Moster & Cox Mortuary in Rushville. A prayer service will be at 8 p.m. Friday.

Memorials can be made to the St. Mary Catholic Church or the donor's favorite charity.
