Sweet, Alice M. CASTLETON Alice M. Sweet, 82, a longtime resident of First St., passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at St. Peter's Hospice after a long illness. Alice was the beloved widow of Albert Sweet Sr.; mother of Sharron Cristmen of Ravena, Scott (Michelle) Sweet of Selkirk, David (Cheryl) Sweet of Schodack Landing, Mickey and Billy Sweet and Robin Amsler, all of Castleton; sister of Gertrude Hallenback of Amsterdam; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sons, Albert Sweet Jr. and Michael Sweet; son-in-law, Dave Amsler; grandson, Deven Sweet; a sister, Marion Hart; two brothers, William and Russell Hart. Alice worked for the Castleton Elementary School until retiring in June of 1993. She made many friends during her time there. The family would like to give a big thank you to Dr. Michael Lettrick and his staff in Schodack; the doctors and nurses at both St. Peter's Hospital and Hospice; the staff at Albany Dialysis and Trish Cooke and Michelle Miner from the Eddy VNA in Troy; last, but not least, the Castleton Fire Company and Ambulance crews. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 2, 2007 at the Ray Funeral Home, 59 Seaman Ave., Castleton, N.Y. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Sunday 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are asked to be sent to St. Peter's Hospice, 315 S.
