Her parents were were both born in Missouri, they married in 1901 in Bollinger County, MO. and had moved to Izzard Co. Arkansas by 1910, by which time they had four children and give the birth place of all of them - even the youngest, 8 mo. old! - as Missouri.
In 1920, her parents say Hettie and her sister were born in Missouri (one sister had died age 3), but her brother, Obert, who was the baby in the last record) and all siblings that came after thim were born in Arkansas.
The 1930 census, gives Arkansas as her bithplace (!) but I belive the earlier records to be correct. In these earlier records, her name was written "Hettie or Hettie H. Hawn".
She married Virdis Eugene "Gean" Atteberry on 27 April 1927, in Woodruff Co. Arkansas, she was 22 and he would turn 19 three months later. Both were residing in Trumann, Poinsett, Arkansas at the time.
By 1930 Hattie and Gean were living in Flint, Michigan. Her name is written "Hattie" here and in all records after this date.
They remained living in Flint until after Gean retired about 1963, then returned to Arkansas to live until about five years before her death. They were married for over 73 years!
They did not have any children, but a large number of siblings, nephews and nieces.
