About 1946, Letty married Douglas Lionel Galpin and emigrated to Belleville, Ontario, Canada. She became a Canadian Citizen and again found work as a weaver. Doug and Letty divorced in the late 1950's.
In 1960, Letty married Alex "Scotty" Connell and emigrated again, this time to the United States. She became a US Citizen in 1969.
Letty and Scotty lived first in Oak Park, then later in Livonia, Michigan. The photo at right shows Scotty and Letty, dressed up for a special function, around 1975.
Letty was always very creative, and dabbled in many different types of craft projects. She was also an accomplished knitter who was able to easily whip up gorgeous and intricate sweaters and afghans.
A heart attack took her suddenly in 1984.
