She was a native of Madison County having lived in Asheville 80 years. Bonnie was president and charter member of the Asheville American War Mothers.
Mrs. Finley was the oldest member of Biltmore Church of God, where she was very loyal and faithful to her church.
Mrs. Finley was a daughter of the late Thomas Henry and Alice Lamb Gowan, and wife of the late Howard Finley. She is also preceded in death by three sisters, Jessie Barnette, Bamie Wyatt and Rachel Lamb; and two brothers, Eunie and Arthur Gowan.
She is survived by her daughter, Clara Thomas Bryant; sons, Keith Thomas (Ruth) and Arthur Thomas, Jr. (Libby); and sister, Bessie Davis, all of Asheville; seven grandchildren; 12 greatgrandchildren; four greatgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Woodlawn Cemetery, with the Revs. Dale Whitson and Daniel Allen officiating.
