Rosa Idella Browning, 98, of Chillicothe, died 6:20 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2009 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. She was born September 4, 1910, in Highland County, to the late Frank and Mary Daugherty Countryman.

Surviving are a sister, Louise Elmore Borden, of Hillsboro, OH; a brother, Kenneth V. Countryman, of Dover, OH; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. She was predeceased by her first husband, Gilbert Quick; second husband, Robert Browning; brothers, Joseph, Fay, Orin Franklin, Richard and Chester Countryman; and by sisters, Virgie Penwell and Margaret Stevens.

Rosa worked for the U.S. Shoe Corporation for many years and was an avid bowler.

Services were entrusted to Ware Funeral Home of Chillicothe, Ohio.
