James H. Nunes, 56, formerly of Medford [Oregon], died Monday (July 17, 1989) at his home in Pioneer, Calif.

The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Amador Memorial Cemetery in Pioneer.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Amador Hospital, in care of Olson Upcountry Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1235, Pine Grove, Calif., 95665.

Mr. Nunes was born Oct. 17, 1932, in Hilt, Calif.

He lived in Medford for a number of years before moving to Hayward, Calif., where he operated Keith Body Shop. In 1978 he moved to Pioneer where he opened the 88 Body Shop.

He served with the U.S. Army in the Korean conflict.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Nunes, Pioneer; two daughters, Sharon Sotelo, Fremont, Calif., and Karen Nunes, Pioneer; a stepson, Bob Chamberlin, Scobie, Mont.; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Nunes, Central Point; three sisters, Sharon Greene, Central Point, Patricia Kerr, Eagle Point, and Susan Nunes, Reno, Nev.; three brothers, David Nunes, Phoenix, Robert Nunes, Central Point, and Gary Nunes, Stockton, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

Friends may pay their respects 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Olson Upcountry Funeral Home in Pine Grove.
