Cindy Goss, 57, of New Berlin, died Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. She was born February 28, 1952, in Jacksonville, the daughter of B. Russell and Thelma L. Jones Wilson. She married Richard Goss on June 17, 1972, in Winchester, and they were later divorced.

She is survived by three children, Luke Goss of Overland Park, Kansas, Lauren (husband, Matt) Harbarger of New Berlin, and Ryan Goss of Champaign; two brothers, Foster Wilson and Kim Wilson, both of Las Vegas, Nevada; two sisters, Angela (husband, Duane) Weiss of Sherman and Karen (husband, Wayne) Tomhave of Jacksonville; and several nieces and nephews. Her parents preceded her in death.

Cindy was the office manager for R. E. Carmody and Associates in Springfield and taught piano lessons at Samuel Music. She had earlier taught at Jonathan Turner Junior High School and Salem Lutheran School. A lover of music, Cindy was an accomplished pianist and composer, and shared her talent through teaching and songwriting. She was a faithful member of Twelve Stone Christian Church in Springfield where she played in the church worship team. She enjoyed flower gardening, reading, and above all, her role as a devoted mother and friend.

Services were entrusted to Williamson Funeral Home of Jacksonville, Illinois.
