Mary M. Hannon of Shippensburg, PA married to Emanuel Gearhart.

The Sentinel - June 6, 1914: Mrs. Mary Gearhart, widow of Emanuel Gearhart died this morning at 7 o'clock at her home in Yeagertown, her age being 74 years. She had been in failing health the past year or more. No children survive. Three sisters of the deceased reside in Harrisburg, Philadelphia and Shippensburg. Mrs. Gearhart's maiden name was Mary Hannon and she was a member of the Lutheran church, Yeagertown.

The Sentinel - June 9, 1914: Funeral Services over the remains of Mrs. Mary Gearheart were conducted by her pastor, Dr. A. H. Spangler, in the Lutheran church on Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Mrs. Gearhart was a resident of Yeagertown for a number of years and was a consistent member of the Lutheran church. She was a woman of positive Christian character, a kind neighbor, always ready to lend a helping hand in time of need. Everything was done to alleviate her suffering. The large concourse of sympathpathizing relatives and friends and the many floral contributions were tokens of the high esteem in which she was held in this vicinity. Quite a number of relatives and friends attended the funeral. She was laid to rest by the side of her husband in the Lutheran cemetery. Mrs. Gearhart will be missed in the church and the community but we calmly submit to Him who doeth all things well.
