Mrs. Mary Allen
Mrs. Mary E. Allen, 91, Route 2, Berryton, died Tuesday in a Topeka rest home where she had been about a year. She had been ill several years.
She was born April 11, 1881, at Tonganoxie, and lived in the Berryton community since 1918. She was a member of the Friends Church at Tonganoxie.
She was married to William Allen, who died in 1924. A son, Ethan Allen, died in 1955.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Avis Stine, 1418 Grove, and Mrs. Ona Godlove, Route 2, Berryton; four sons, Walter Allen, Lawrence, Elwood Allen, Route 1, Berryton, William Allen, Portland, Ore., and Oren Allen, Los Angeles, Calif.; 18 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at Tibbitts-Fockele Mortuary. Time has not been set. Burial will be in Lynn Creek Cemetery near Berryton.
