Edwin H. Arnholt, 89, of Indiana 46 East died at 5:55 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2002, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Mr. Arnholt was a member and Sunday school teacher at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clifty. He was a retired farmer and Farm Bureau member and was a school bus driver for Bartholomew County schools for 17 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a former member of American Legion. He enjoyed singing.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clifty, with the Rev. Doug Bauman officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Barkes, Inlow & Weaver Funeral Home on Washington Street and from 12:30 p.m. until service time Wednesday at the church. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to World Vision or St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Mr. Arnholt was born June 29, 1913, in Bartholomew County, the son of August and Clara Mensendiek Arnholt. He married Vernice L. Wilson April 8, 1945. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Milton W. Arnholt of Los Angeles; daughters, Janet L. Weyer of Groveland, Ill., Marybelle Miller of Clarinda, Iowa, and Karen S. Brunner of Buffalo, N.Y.; brothers, Richard Arnholt of Columbus and Paul Arnholt of Denver, Colo.; a sister, Elsie VonFange of Columbus; 10 grandchildren; and four great–grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Marshall E. Arnholt; brothers, Louis, Robert and Walter Arnholt; and a sister, Emma VonFange.
