lbert H. Bailey was born at Dover, N.J., April 6, 1842, and died at Lakin, Kansas, March 15, 1912, aged 69 years, 11 months and 9 days.

He moved to Sullivan, Ind. In 1865, where he was married to Miss Mary F. Ballard, who died in December, 1881.

In 1886 he was united in marriage with Alice C. Stocking, and in 1887 moved to Lakin, Where he resided until his death.

Mr. Bailey was converted in early life and united with the Methodist Church. After moving to Indiana he united with the Baptist Church, and when the Lakin Baptist church was organized he became one the constituent members.

He leaves a sister, two sons, William and Walter by his first marriage, and his wife and daughter Pearl, who constitute the immediate circle of relatives. His circle of friends included all who knew him.

A true friend, a devoted, loyal Christian has crossed the bar.

The funeral service was held at the Baptist Church Saturday afternoon, conducted by Rev. A.W. Yale, assisted by Pastor Robinson.

Mrs. Bailey and Pearl were not able to be present on account of sickness.
