Glenda Sue Berndt, 31, of Diamond, MO, died Thursday, November 13, 1997, of injuries received in a two-vehicle autmotobile accident on Highway 71 at Tipton Ford.
Miss Berndt was born March 28, 1966 in Colby, KS and lived in Joplin the past three years, moving from Peru, IN. In 1990 she received her bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Concordia College at Seward, NE. She was employed at Wal-Mart Store No. 89 in Joplin the past three years and had worked seven years with the company. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Joplin and was a second grade Sunday School teacher. She was a board member of the Martin Luther School.
Survivors include her parents, Paul & Nona Berndt; two brothers, Ed & Daniel, one sister, Betty and 2 nieces.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Lowell Rossow officiating. Burial was in Osborne Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Parker Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church.-- Source: The Morning News of NW Arkansas
