I personally visited Shiloh a few years back, only to find there is no stone for Thomas E Lockwood. In fact they have no record of him being buried there at all. We all know he was wounded on 7 April 1862, and after being checked in the field hospital he was loaded on a Hospital boat So far the record of what hospital is yet to be found his death is listed as 13 April 1862, We would all like to know his final resting place but I doubt Shiloh National Cemetery is it. Hopefully some day one of our dedicated researchers will be able to find out where he rest. If you ever get a chance to visit Shiloh I highly recommend you do, It was a chilling and moving experience I will never forget, and one it is hard to find words to describe. For those who don't know how find a grave works: You can only list a person and their information, birth, death or anything about this person unless you have the cemetery they are buried in.So as way to post what information WE had on Thomas we chose to use Raymond Cemetery,Someday I hope his actual location and Grave are found.

But for now we are placing his marker with his beloved wife Julia, and their young daughter Sarah at Raymond cemetery in Union County Ohio where Thomas and family lived..
