Isaac Mower went to Corinna in 1819 at the age of 24 to teach school. Afterwards bought a place in the wilderness south from this brother Hiram and lived with him in the log home. Here they toiled together until he had his farm cleared and made a home where he lived and died. He married Sally Adams, daughter of Samuel Adams of Greene on January 26, 1820.
Isaac was a member of the Dexter Baptist church.
