Betty Jo Bailey, 72, a resident of Simi Valley, died of breast cancer Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, surrounded by her husband and children.
She was born March 3, 1936 in Atmore, the first born child of Jay and Mildred Anderson and a sister to Nancy Anderson Robinson, Norma Anderson Waters, Jay Anderson and Jackie Anderson.
She graduated from Royal Center High in Indiana and married Richard Bailey in 1955. They relocated to California and lived in Simi Valley for 36 years, also in Scottsdale, Ariz., for a short-time.
She was employed at Royal High School in Simi Valley in the cafeteria for 10 years and later retired from Enviromental Industries in Calabasas, Calif.
She enjoyed life through love of travel, books, friends, but most importantly , her family.
Survivors include her husband, Richard W. Bailey; daughter , Rebecca Bailey; and son Jeff Bailey.
Her final resting place is at Kistler's Cemetery in Royal Center, Ind.
