Lenora L. Whisler, age 87, of Davie, formerly of Ft. Myers died Aug. 6. She was born Oct. 20, 1904 in Mound Key, the daughter of Antonio and Mary Silva Fernandez. She was married to George Whisler, who preceded her in 1989. Employed by the J.C. Penny Company, Lenora retired in 1971 and moved to Sunrise 1976. Survivors include on daughter, Dorothy M. Nester of Davie; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Lenora had pioneer roots in Florida, coming from a family of nine children, who all have preceded her.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at Harvey-Englehardt Funeral Home, 1600 Colonial Blvd., with Father Larkin Connolly officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Myers City Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Friday at Harvey-Englehardt Funeral Hime, Colonial Blvd. Chapel.
