Mrs. Sarah M. Roberts, 521 South Eleventh Street, died at Asbury hospital at 7:15 o'clock Saturday evening at the age of 80 years. Mrs. Roberts was born in Illinois, June 24, 1847. She moved to this section of the county and had been a resident of Salina for the past 12 years. Her husband died 24 years ago. Mrs. Roberts is survived by five children, Mrs. Eva Archibald, Almena; Mrs. Jessie Beard, Ponca City Okla.; Mrs. Mary Archibald, Naponee; Emery Roberts, Almena; William Roberts, Hollywood, Calif.; a brother, J.R. Mather, Los Angeles, Calif: two Sisters, Mrs. Phoebe Porter, Salt Lake City, Mrs. Jesse Coleman, Berkley, Calif. B.I. Chambers of this city is a nephew Mrs. Roberts was a member of the Christian Church. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Rayn Funeral Home, with Rev. M. Lee Sory in charge. Interment will be held in the Gypsum Hill cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Ryan Funeral Home until the hour of the funeral. Salina Journal.
