He was the son of Thomas Jefferson Meeks and Margaret Rudolph. He married Crissie C. Foncannon March 15, 1875 in Adair County, Misouri.

Thos. J. Meeks, formerly a respected and influential resident of Adair county, died suddenly of hemorrhage of the lungs, at his home near Crandon Dakota, June 25th. His remains were brought to his old home for burial and were interred in the Stuckey Cemetery, near Millard last Tuesday. Many of his former friends and acquaintances attended from this place.
He was the son of Thomas Jefferson Meeks and Margaret Rudolph. He married Crissie C. Foncannon March 15, 1875 in Adair County, Misouri.

Gravesite Details

It appears that Thomas was reinterred from Stuckey Cemetery. He died at what was then Dakota Territory. Crandon is now in South Dakota, Spink County.
