Thos. J. Meeks, formerly a respected and influential resident of Adair county, died suddenly of hemorrhage of the lungs, at his home near Crandon Dakota, June 25th. His remains were brought to his old home for burial and were interred in the Stuckey Cemetery, near Millard last Tuesday. Many of his former friends and acquaintances attended from this place.

Gravesite Details
It appears that Thomas was reinterred from Stuckey Cemetery. He died at what was then Dakota Territory. Crandon is now in South Dakota, Spink County.
