BISHOP
R. B. "Buddy" Bishop, a native of Albertville and longtime resident of Foley, died Aug. 18, 1995, at South Baldwin Hospital in Foley. He was a retired Air Force Colonel, had served as a civilian engineer for the Defense Department for many years following his retirement from active military duty. Survivors include his son, John H. Bishop of Foley; two stepdaughters, Mona Valine of Foley and Iris Dean of Birmingham; two sisters, Carrie Messer and Rena Green, both of Birmingham; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services were held Aug. 22 in the chapel of Pine Rest Funeral Home with burial in Pine Rest Memorial Park.
