Robert Thomas Orband

A funeral for Robert Thomas Orband, 73, a Carson City resident, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at FitzHenry's.

A public viewing will be from 2-6 p.m. today at FitzHenry's.

Mr. Orband died July 19, 2005, of heart failure. He was born Jan. 15, 1932, in Binghamton, N.Y.

During his career, he managed several companies and was a successful entrepreneur. He enjoyed working and his family. He was a Christian.

He served in the U.S. Army in Korea.

He was preceded in death by his seven brothers and a sister.

Among his survivors are his wife of 40 years, Mildred Helen of Carson City; daughters Margaret Anderson of Florence, Ky., and Kathleen Thomas and Marla Carr, both of Sparks.; sister Rachel Cerratini; brother and wife, Domonic and Virginia; grandchildren Rick, Annette, Colleen, Amber, Anna, Jacob, David, Tracie, Tiffany, Jeremiah and Del; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Mountain View Cemetery in Reno.
