Mildred Yocom Orband, of Reno, NV died on February 7, 2008, she was 87. She was born in Salt Lake City, UT on November 19, 1920. Mildred is survived by three daughters, Margaret Anderson of Milford, OH, Kathleen Thomas of Sparks, NV, and Marla Carr of Sparks, NV. Sharing in the mourning of this wonderfully kind and generous woman, are her siblings, Keith Yocom, Gerald Yocom, Alvin Yocom, and Beth Gerritsen; her 11 grandchildren, Rick, Annette, Colleen, Amber, Anna, Jacob, David, Tracie, Tiffany, Jeremiah, and Del and her 15 great-grand children. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and many friends who loved her.
Mildred joins her husband of 40 years, Robert Thomas Orband, and her parents, Frank and Elisa Yocom, and five brothers and sister in the graceful arms of our Savior Jesus Christ.
Mildred enjoyed a career in hotel management. Her greatest passion was her family. She was always eager to serve and help her family, friends, and neighbors in the loving spirit of Christ. She lived the commandment to Love your Neighbor as yourself. She will be missed for the blessing she was in many lives.
A private ceremony was held at FitzHenry's Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 12, 2008. She was laid to rest at Mountain View Mortuary in Reno, NV, along side her husband.
