Gladys M. Beavers of Fort Ritner, IN, died Thursday, April 11, 2002, at Bloomington Hospital. Born on April 27, 1923, in Fort Ritner, IN, she was the daughter of Edwin and Clara (Foster) Evans. She married Merle Beavers in October, 1940.

Surviving are seven daughters: Priscilla Davidson of Medora, IN, Iva White of Bedford, IN, Carolyn Prince of Bedford, IN, Clara Hiatt of Indianapolis, IN, Sharon Pierce of Orleans, IN, Patricia Brown of Bedford, IN, Mary Oliver of Dayton, OH; one son, Roy Beavers of Fort Ritner, IN; eighteen grandchildren, and thirty-one great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; one sister; two sons, Clarence Beavers and Virgil Beavers; one daughter, Grace Sullivan; and three granddaughters.

She was a homemaker and of Pentecostal faith.

Services for Gladys Beavers will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 16th, at the Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Dixon Chapel Cemetery in Leesville.
