Services were held Sept. 21 at the Chapel of Macy and Son for William M.
Christenson, 74, who died Sept. 17 at Newberg hospital. Burial took place at
Evergreen Memorial Park.

Christenson, son of George and Sophia Mortonsen Christenson, was born Feb. 22,
1890 at Newberg. He was raised and schooled in Newberg and was united in
marriage to Elizabeth Ott at Dayton on Nov. 25, 1917. He lived in Yamhill County
all his life and had operated a farm here.

He was a member of the Newberg Barracks, Veterans of WWI.

He is survived by his widow, Elizabeth of Newberg; two sons, Herbert of Salem
and Donald of Lebanon; a daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Jenkins of Portland; three
sisters, Mrs. Mildred Stubberfield of McMinnville, Mrs. Erlena Gorman of Scio
and Mrs. Georgie Mason of Portland.
