Mrs. Gust Kruse Dies At Coleridge June 18
Funeral Services Held at Methodist Church Tuesday
Mrs. Gust Kruse, until recent years a resident of Bloomfield, died Saturday, June 18, at the Coleridge Nursing Home following a heart attack. She had been in poor health the last several years.
Funeral services were held at Christ Memorial Methodist Church on Tuesday. June 21, at 2:00 p.m., with the Rev. Stanley A. Ganzel, pastor, officiating.
Music was furnished by Mrs. Jen Ganzel, soloist, who sang "Nearer My God To Thee" and "In The Garden", accompanied by by Mrs. E.L. Stroh at the organ.
Prescott Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements and burial the Bloomfield Cemetery. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Harold Bolton, Paul Bolton, Dale Hunt, Morris Hunt, Larry Hunt, and Melvin Koops.
Lydia Eveleyn Brewer was born at Ponca, Nebr. on November 17, 1878, to George and Lucy Brewer, and died Saturday, June 18,1960, at the age of 81 years, 7 months and 1 day.
She recieved her education at Ponca, and on March 19, 1898, she was married there to George A. Bolton. three children were born to them, Eddie Albert, Faye Rebecca and Gena Mildred.
The family resided in Ponca several years after their marriage and then moved to Bloomfield where she spent most of her remaining years. Mr. Bolton passed away in July of 1929.
In 1943 she was united in marriage to Gust Kruse, who passed away in November,1959.
Left to mourn are her three children, Ed Bolton of Bloomfield, Faye Hunt of Bloomfield, Gena Innocenti of Tocoma, Washington; 13 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
She also leaves to mourn a brother and three sisters, Anna Conrad of South Sioux City, May Lendrick and Lucille McLaughlin of Sioux City, Iowa, and John Brewer of Elk Point, South Dakota.
