Tressie G. Reeves, 88, a longtime resident of Wenatchee, passed away, Thursday, July 8, 1999 in Parkside Care Center.
She was born Aug. 23, 1910 to Billy and Nancy Jane (Dill) Tucker at Agnos, AR.
She was raised and schooled in the Agnos and Salem areas of Arkansas and remained in that area until moving to Wenatchee in the mid 40s.
She worked in many of the local restaurants in Wenatchee as a waitress and cook. She later became a restaurant manager and worked until her retirement.
Mrs. Reeves was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and was a longtime member of the Wenatchee Church of Christ and later, King's Orchard Church of Christ.
She had belonged to a number of fraternal organizations in Wenatchee in the past.
Her main interests were her grandchildren.
Survivors include her two sons, Charles Ray Reeves and Doyle H. and wife Beverly Reeves, all of Wenatchee; 10 grandchildren, Dick Reeves and family of Wenatchee; Joe Reeves and family of California; Cindy Reeves and family of California; Loy D. Reeves and family of Washington; Darren Reeves and family of Oregon; Kenny Reeves of Tri-Cities; Cassie Helms of Spokane; David Ross and family of Oregon; Daniel Ross and family of Illinois; DeAnn Richards and family of Wenatchee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters, and one son, Lowell Reeves.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, July 12, 1999 at Telford's Chapel of the Valley with Mr. Dale Linge officiating. Interment will follow at Wenatchee City Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Sunday from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to King's Orchard Church of Christ.
