Marie Broyles, 86 of the Stinking Creek Community went home to be with the Lord July 31 at Norris Health and Rehabilitation Center in Norris. Marie was born February 26, 1923 to Sterling Sr. and Mary Douglas Meredith in the Stinking Creek Community. She was married to Curtis Broyles for 61 years until his passing in 2000. They made their home and raised their children at the same site of her birth, where she continued to live until her passing. Marie was a long standing member of New Liberty Baptist Church, The Log Church where she served for many years as Secretary and Treasurer. She will be sadly missed and very lovingly remembered.
