SAN ANGELO — Clydene Estelle Russ, 88, of Socorro, N.M., formerly of San Angelo, died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2006, in a local hospital.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, in Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
Clydene was mother, wife and major player to her family and husband. She lived in many countries with her husband, ROBERT E. "BOB" RUSS III who worked building schools for the state department. For many years, she helped support her family, operating the Spruce Cabin Lodge in Cloudcroft, N.M. She was active in Eastern Star and was past matron of Concho 826 Eastern Star. She was active as a member of the Texas Porcelain Art Club.
Most of all, she was a mother, and she will be remembered most for the love she brought to the task. She will be missed.
Survivors include a son, Robert F. Russ IV and wife Annette of Chico, Calif.; a daughter, Mariann Patterson, and husband Jim of Bingham, N.M.; grandchildren Robert F. Russ V of Chico, Calif., Lori Russ Miller and husband Sean of Haden, Idaho, Jamie Fine and husband Troy of Fort Collins, Colo., Dr. Leah Madsen and husband Heath of Greenville, Texas, Loren Patterson and wife Casey of Encino, N.M.; and great-grandchildren Melissa Swanke, Jacey and Bailey Miller, Kayce, Dane, Riley and Kyra Madsen, and Moriah and Elysha Fine.
