1870 U.S. Census for Hudson. JOHN A. HOWE farmer age 58, wife Abigail E. Howe is 56. Two daughters: Lydia D. Howe is 31, Mary L. Howe is 29.

1880 U.S. Census for Hudson, Massachusetts. JOHN A. HOWE age 68 farmer, and wife Abigail E. age 66. They have 2 children living with them: Lydia D. Howe age 39, and Mary L. Howe age 37.

1900 U.S. Census for Hudson, Massachusetts. ABBIE HOWE age 85 (born June 1814)widow is living with 59 year old daughter Mary L. Howe born July 1840 on Causeway Street. She had 4 children, but only 2 living at this time. Thus we can assume that daughter Elizabeth died before 1900.
