Ralph Gilbert Hageman was born to Ralph V. Hageman and Josephine C. Barrera on May 30th, 1925 in California. Ralph had an older sister Bernice who passed away when she was ten years old and two younger brother who died in the infancy. Ralph joined the U.S. Navy during WWII on 13 May 1943 and was assigned to the USS St. Louis CL49 "Lucky Lou" until he was discharged in June of 1946. He married Dorothy Maxine Harris on 5 Feb 1946 and together they had five children and also raised their niece and nephew as their own. Ralph worked for McDonald Douglas Aircraft Company in Long Beach CA and retired from there.
