Born in North Carolina. Father Jacob Grindstaff died in Kentucky. Mother Susannah Newton. Several different family Isaac Grindstaffs over the years. War of 1812 Veteran in Kentucky. Received a military US Land Warrant "anywhere in the Military Land of Howard County Missouri"

1.Sarah Easton in 1814, mother of Sarah Creason.
2.Jane Baker Feb. 7, 1818 in Garrard County KY
Son Henry, daughters Mary Susan Vandiver, & Charlotte Rogers
3.Nancy Grimes in Kentucky 1827
4.Eleanor ("Nellie Creason") Noland divorced from Ashford
Noland, Married Boone County MO March 24, 1832 Son
