Fred G. Hill, 73, of 4619 Springdale, died at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph's Hospital in Bryan after an apparent heart attack. He had served as Jefferson County Clerk since 1933.--A native of Nacogdoches, Mr. Hill had lived in Port Arthur since 1922. He was a graduate of Center High School in Center, Tex., and attended Port Arthur Business College.--He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Port Arthur, Cosmopolitan Lodge No. 872, AF&AM, and a past master of the lodge and Port Arthur Commandry No. 73.--Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church. The Rev. James Edwards, pastor, will officiate, assisted by the former pastor, Dr. John Wright of Greenville, Tex.--Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in Bethel Cemetery in Appleby, Tex., with Masonic graveside rites. Services will be under the direction of the Nunnelly-Stanley-Stickley Funeral Home.--He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Hill of Port Arthur; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Jane Hill of Bryan and Mrs. Martha Blackmon of Denton; one son, Fred Gene Hill of Amarillo; one sister, Mrs. Maud Barnes of Port Arthur; three brothers, Jim D. Hill of Port Arthur, E.T. Hill of Beaumont and J.B. Hill of LaMarque and eight grandchildren.--Pallbearers will be W.A. Stevenson, Hester Mount, W.D. Owens, Ray Eldridge, J.E. Richardson, S.G.
