Prall's first wife was Gladys B. Snyder and they married in 1932 in Maryland. They had three children, Leora, Eldon, and Edgar.

Following Gladys's death in 1937, Prall's sister, Ada Allen Osmun, and her two daughters, Dottie and Jennie, came to live with Prall and his children to help care for Prall's children. This is proven by the 1940 and 1950 census where they all lived on East Grand Street in Hampton, New Jersey. Prall also had a barbershop at this residence.

Sometime after the 1950 census, Prall moved his barbershop to Glen Gardner, just south of Hampton. His sister, Ada Osmun moved to the residence over the barbershop.

Jul 1957 in Washington Township, Warren, New Jersey, Prall married Catherine L Hann.
