Lester E. Priest
Lester E. Priest, 60, owner of the Johnstown Motor Sales, died at 9:15 p.m. Thursday in White Cross Hospital, Columbus. Mr. Priest suffered a stroke of apoplexy at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in his office and was taken to the hospital.
He has been the Chevrolet dealer in Johnstown for 25 years and prior to that sold other automobiles for 30 years.
Mr. Priest was born in St. Albans Township Nov. 1, 1889, the son of John F. and Viola (Priest) Priest. He was a member of the Johnstown Methodist Church, Knigths of Pythias, Masonic Lodge in Johnstown, and the National Auto Dealers Association.
Mr. Priest is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ethel Gertrude Priest; two sons, Glenn Edward Priest and Ralph Eugene Priest, both of Johnstown; one daughter, Mrs. Donald Butt of Johnstown; and six grandchildren.
Two sister, Mrs. Tom O'Dell of Newark and Mrs. John Ueltschy of Mt. Vernon, also survive.
The body is at the Emerson funeral home in Johnstown and funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Johnstown Methodist Church with the Rev. Walter H. Reitz officiating. Burial will be made in Green Hill Cemetery.
The body will remain at the funeral home until Sunday and at 1 p.m. will be taken to the church where it will remain until the time of the funeral.
