He married Kay Burnell Coffey in 1976. Surviving are his father, John of Salem, Ohio; wife, children, Gale Salcedo of Whitmore Lake, Mich.; Brent Ference of Ojai, Calif.; Kevin Ference of Holland, Mich.; Tod Ference of Marino Valley, Calif.; Pamela Farley of Indianapolis, Ind.; Lisa Marking of Omaha, Ne.; Tim Coffey of Knobnoster, Mo.; brother, John "Jack" Ference of Duncanville, Texas and 15 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother and one infant brother.
