Margaret Ann Morgan Weikle, 74, died at her home in Parrish Court Friday morning at 7:10 following an illness of several months.
She was born in Greenbrier County W. Va., March 8, 1882, the daughter of the late Charles and Melinda Morgan and had made her home in Covington for the past 26 years.
Mrs. Weikle was a member of the Granbery Memorial Church and Circle No. 11 and the W.R. Owens Bible Class No. 1 of the church. Martha Chapter No.21 Order of Eastern Star, the Parrish Court Home Demonstration Club, the Intermont Garden Club, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
She is survived by her husband Bernie Coe Weikle; seven sons, Lawrence A. Weikle, Wheeler L. Weikle, Layman E. Weikle, James R. Weikle, Marcus L. Weikle, Cebert B. Weikle and Warren F. Weikle; two daughters Mrs. Theldra W. Humphries and Mrs. Dorothy W. Buckland; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Charles Baker and Mrs. Laura Dolan; and two brothers W.R. Morgan and James W. Morgan
Mr. and Mrs. Weikle observed their golden wedding anniversary in March, 1954.
Funeral service will be conducted from the Granbery Memorial Church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 with her pastor Rev. Andrew G. Lynch officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
The body was removed from the Arritt Funeral Home to the residence in Parrish Court at 2 P.M. today and will remain there until one hour before service time when it will be taken to the church.
