Rose Elizabeth Spicer, 90, a resident of St. Joseph's Nursing Home, formerly of Ford Street, died Monday at the nursing home.

She was a machine operator at Standard Shade Roller for 11 years.

Born March 26, 1917, in Ogdensburg, she was the daughter of Frank and Emma Abar Ladouceur.

She married Frederick H. Spicer on May 19, 1956, at Ogdensburg First Congregational Church with the Rev. Edward J. Sizeland officiating. Mr. Spicer died Nov. 10, 1984. She was previously married to Archie R. Denny Jr.

Mrs. Spicer was a member of Notre Dame Church and the Moose Lodge. She was a past member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and watching television.

Surviving are two daughters, seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
