Kathryn R. Abbott, 91, a longtime Cashmere resident, died Tuesday at Garden Terrace in Wenatchee. She was born Dec. 9, 1889, In Mount Vernon, was raised and attended school there. She attended a business college in Seattle and worked for the telephone-company before marrying Glenn C. Abbott, July 3, 1912.

They ranched in Chelan and moved to Cashmere in 1947. He preceded her In death In 1954. She did home nursing and worked at Hanford during World War II. Mrs. Abbott was a member of St. Francis Catholic and Church and Purity Rebekah Lodge of Cashmere. Survivors Include a son, Doyle, San Francisco: two daughters, Maxine Carkuff, Los Angeles, and Barbara Simpson, Petersburg, Alaska: and eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Braun Funeral Home, Cashmere was in charge of arrangements. Graveside services were held Friday afternoon at the Cashmere Cemetery with Father John Shaw officiating
