JAY E. BEGGS 58 DIES AT HIS HOME
DURHAMVILLE, Nov. 27 - Jay E. Beggs, 58, died at his home here early this morning after an illness of two years.
He was born here April 24, 1877, a son of William and Sarah Olcott Beggs. He had spent all his life in Durhamville and before his illness was engaged in the trucking business. He was a charter member of the Durhamville I.O.O.F. Lodge.
Surviving are his widow, the former Miss Bessie King of this place; his parents in Durhamville, and two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Covell and Mrs. Lena Jurden of Oneida.

Funeral Services Held For Jay E. Beggs
DURHAMVILLE Dec. 2-- Funeral services for Jay E. Beggs were held from the family home Saturday afternoon with the Rev. Merrit H. Winchester, pastor of the Baptist Church, officiating. The bearers who were cousins of the deceased were Morton Olcott of Canastota, Dexter Robbins, Cole Olcott and Michael Doran of Oneida and Maurice Deeley and Howard Deeley of this village. Burial was made in Grove cemetery.
