Inga Myren Pearson, the daughter of the late Thor and Ragnhild (Berg) Myren, was born on Dec. 18, 1920, at Grygla, MN. She attended school and grew to womanhood there and was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. On June 19, 1943, Inga was united in marriage to Sam Pearson at Grygla. The couple lived and farmed in Thief Lake Township of Marshall County, near Middle River, for many years. She was a long-time member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church of Thief Lake and active in her church's affairs, especially Ladies Aid and as Sunday School Superintendent for many years. Inga drove school bus for Middle River School for several years and worked in the lunch room there. She also worked at Honker Flats Greenhouse for many years and spent many hours picking wild berries with friends. In 1996, the couple moved into Middle River and in 2005, to the Meadows Assisted Living Facility at Karlstad. Since Oct. of 2008, Inga has resided at the Karlstad Healthcare Center where she passed away on Wed. afternoon,, June 10, 2009, at the age of 88 years, 5 months and 22 days.
She is survived by her husband, Sam; one daughter: Marion (Lynn) Dauner, of Bloomington, MN.; one son: Gary (Arlette), of Middle River; three grandchildren: Teresa (Todd) Nordquist, of Eden Prairie, MN.; JoAnna (David) Meyers, of Chaska, MN.; and Travis (Crystal) Pearson, of Mountain Iron, MN.; two great-granddaughters: Justine Meyers and Gabrielle Pearson; one brother: Torjus (Marian) Myren, In California; two sisters: Thea (Andrew) Nielsen, also in California, and Hazel (Richard) Edlund, of Plymouth, MN.; sister-in-law: Bertha Folden, of Hopkins, MN.; in addition to several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Inga was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: Evend, Sven and Ole.
