Lillie L. Kirby, 87, a resident of Cashmere for the past 42 years, died Sunday morning in the Cashmere convalescent center.

She was born May 20, 1893, in El Paso, III., where she was raised and attended school. On July 19, 1910, she married Marvin J. Kirby at Bloomington, III.

They moved to Kelso in 1929, Leavenworth in 1933, and Cashmere in 1938. Mr. Kirby preceded her in death in 1974. Mrs. Kirby was a member of the First Methodist Church of Doylesvllle, Ky.

Surviving are two daughters, Mable Walton, Cashmere, and Vanessa Arteman, Heyworth, III.; three sons, Floyd of Cashmere, Russell of Kent, and Jack of Wenatchee; two brothers, Les Buzard, Cashmere, and Otis Buzard, Wenatchee; a sister, Alphie Bundy, Hammond, Ind., 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Asa, In 1966, and three grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Tuesday morning at the Cashmere Cemetery with Rev. James Merlin officiating.
