Stephen was the sixth child and second son of John Thomas Enman (1849 - 1934) and Sarah MacDonald (1858 - 1924). Born in Grandview, Prince Edward Island, Canada, Stephen moved to Los Angeles, CA, in 1912, where he worked for the Pacific Electric Railway; from 1915-17 he worked in the Silver Mines at Candalaria, NV. After a move to Pomona, CA, then a return to PEI Canada, the family returned to Inglewood, CA, where Steven worked in the ice business, retiring to the South Bay Area where he stayed for the rest of his life. Steven is buried in Inglewood Park Cemetery, CA, with his wife Mary B., his son Steven H. and Steve's wife Hilda.
