Beattyville - Ed Beatty, 91, died about 8 a.m. Friday at his home after a long illness. He was a Lee County native, a retired merchant and a member of the Christian Church.
Survivors are a brother, Milo Beatty, Beattyville, and a sister, Mrs. Emily Hoskins, Beattyville.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. today at the Newnam Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Nolan D. Moore. Burial will be in the Beatty Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home.
