Funeral services for a former Davis resident, Mrs. Thelma G. Hutchins, 78, of Miami will be Thursday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in Fox Funeral Chapel, Davis. Rev. Jim House will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery with Fox Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.

Mrs. Hutchins, a retired funeral director, died Monday at St. John's Medical Center in Joplin, MO after a short illness. Funeral services were held at Jim Thomas and Son Funeral Chapel in Miami on Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Paul Bowles officiated.

Born Aug. 20, 1906 in Davis, she married A. W. Hutchins on Sept. 27, 1924. The couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last September. She was a member of United Methodist Church. The couple had lived in Miami since 1952 where they owned what is now Jim Thomas and Son Funeral Home. They sold to Thomas in 1965.

A. W. Hutchins and his brother, George, owned what is now Fox Funeral Home in Davis from 1937 to 1950.

Mrs. Hutchins is survived by her husband, A. W.; one daughter, Laura Frank of Azle, TX; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
