Funeral Services To Be Thursday

Mrs. Marie Budde, 81, died Monday night in Madison Community hospital where she had been confined since suffering a stroke Dec. 29.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m Thursday in St. John Lutheran church. Rev. Wayne Bunn will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery directed by Hallenbeck Funeral home.

Mrs. Budde was born Feb. 24, 1877 in Decorah, Ia., the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Karl Hanneman. She moved to Lake county with her parents in 1878.

She was married to Charles L. Budde, Sept. 5, 1900 in Wentworth. Mr. Budde died Jan. 16, 1949.

Mrs. Budde is survived by one son, Alvin, and one daughter, Mrs. Reinhard T. Thurow, both of Madison; eight grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren; two brothers, Henry and Fred Hanneman, both of Madison; and one sister, Mrs. Oscar Schultz, Wentworth.

A son, Harold, died in 1957. A son and daughter died when they were small children.
