He visited 451 dwellings and recorded 472 families consisting of 1,603 people, including the towns of Nevada, Josephine, and Royse City. During World War II, he was a carpenter in Dallas. When he died, Miller was co-owner of a drapery shop in Lufkin. He had one child with his first wife, Foy McClendon, and one child with his second wife, Fay Miller.
