Albert Forbes Cameron of Tempe, AZ went home to be with the Lord on June 12, 2009 at age 85. He was born March 16, 1924 in Fairfield, CT. During World War II, he enlisted in the United States Navy and trained as a naval aviator. He married the love of his life, Eleanor Mae Wood in 1945, and they spent their early marriage in Coronado, CA during his pilot training. Albert was honorably discharged in 1945, and moved to Arizona in 1953 where he accepted the Lord as Savior. He joined AiResearch (Honeywell) in 1954 and retired after 31 years. He enjoyed summers at Mormon Lake, AZ. Albert and Eleanor are long-time active members of First Baptist Church Tempe. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed woodworking. He is survived by his wife Eleanor. He also leaves behind six children: Charles (Karen) Cameron of Mesa, AZ, Christine (Rick) Burdett of Gilbert, AZ, Lisa (Neil) Watson of Tucson, AZ, Paul (Anna Marie) Cameron of La Jolla, CA, Ann (Lewis) Coleman of Goodyear, AZ and Scott (Rose) Cameron of Escondido, CA. He was blessed with 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. A
viewing will be held Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 9:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church Tempe. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Missionary Fund at First Baptist Church Tempe, 4525 South McClintock Drive. Private interment at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
