When she was 10 years old, she moved with her family to the Bloomfield community, living on a farm 9 ½ miles northeast of town. She received her early education on a rural school.
Alma married Emil Kopetka May 30, 1920. To this union three daughters were born: Ellyn Ermels of Bloomfield; Mrs. Warren (Norma) Dawson, Mountain Home, Arkansas; and Mrs. Leslie (Phyllis) Anderson, Humboldt, Iowa.
She was an active and faithful member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church all her life.
She led a very active social life, belonging to many organizations.
She suffered a heart attack on April 11, 1987, and was admitted to Lundberg Memorial Hospital in Creighton, where she passed away April 15, 1987.
Alma was proceeded in death by her paretns, her husband, Emil; 4 sisters and 3 brothers.
She leaves to mourn her passing her 3 daughters, 1 sister, Doris Schrader, Fort Collins, Colorado; 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of dear friends and relatives.
