Paul J. Biedenbach, age 80, of Sarahsville, Ohio, died Thursday, March 20, 2008, at Summit Acres Nursing Home, Caldwell, Ohio. He was born July 20, 1927, in Lewisville, Ohio, son of the late Ambrose and Gertrude Wahl Biedenbach. He attended elementary school at St. Joseph School at Burkhart, and he was a graduate of Lewisville High School. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served in Alaska for two years, and he owned and operated a family farm near East Union for many years. He was the founder of Biedenbach Logging Service in Sarahsville, and he was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church, Caldwell. Mr. Biedenbach was also a member of the National Farm Organization, and he was recognized as the Noble County Soil and Water Conservation Farmer of the Year. He enjoyed woodworking in his shop, fishing, listening to his radio, gardening, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three sisters, Anna Margaret Maxwell, Lucille Huffman, and Phyllis Schehl.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy A. Sorg Biedenbach, whom he married May 13, 1948; his children, Barbara (Robert ) Huffman of Lowell, Beverly (Ron) Harmon of Caldwell, Stephen (Sue) Biedenbach of Caldwell, David (Veronica) Biedenbach of Sarahsville, Mary (Jay) Hendershot of Sarahsville, Linda (Scott) Radcliff of Bridgeport, West Virginia, John (Donna) Biedenbach of Sarahsville, Marcia (Robert) Thompson of Sherrodsville, Elizabeth (Greg) Steed of Sarahsville, and Rita (Dave) McKee of Caldwell; one sister, Stella (Blair) Brown of Springfield, Ohio; 33 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends may call Monday, March 24, 2008, from 2-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where a Christian Scripture Service and Rosary will be held following visitation at 8PM. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held Tuesday, March 25th at 10AM at St. Stephen Catholic Church, Caldwell, with Father Thomas Hamm, Jr. as celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Caldwell.
