Elmer Abston's Son
Buried Here Tuesday


Funeral rites were held at the Methodist church in this city Tuesday afternoon for James Melvin Abston, 5 ½ year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Abston, who died in a hospital at Corpus Christi, Texas, Saturday afternoon.

Rev. Morgan, pastor of Methodist church at Corpus Christi, conducted the service, assisted by Rev. Virgil Russell, pastor of M. E. church, Carnegie, Okla.; Rev. Waterman, Episcopal pastor at Ardmore, and Rev. E. L. Lloyd, Methodist pastor at Davis. Burial was in Green Hill cemetery, this city.

The child had been sick but a few days and died following an appendectomy performed last Friday. His father, who is employed by an oil company, the Maryland corporation, formerly resided in Davis, and is a son of Rev. and Mrs. S. M. Abston. He has been in Corpus the past two years. The mother was Miss Beulah Ford, an Ardmore girl.
